Dragon Copilot has two main work areas:
When you open Dragon Copilot, the homepage helps you find patients, review activity, and quickly access your work.
The homepage includes:

Each patient session represents a unique consultation. Within the patient session you can conduct your ambient recording and generate all follow-on documentation.
When you are ready, you can either:

The Transcript contains a written version of the recorded conversation. Each ambient recording generates its own transcript, so you can select and review each transcript individually. Review the transcript to verify information and better understand how note content was generated.
The Library located near the top of the session displays prompts and templates. When you select these objects, Dragon Copilot Chat executes them. To see a full list of your library items, select Manage library.
Directly select the microphone to ambiently record or check the adjacent check-box, to switch to dictation. Pick from the drop down to make sure your preferred mic is selected.
Use Dragon Copilot Chat to ask questions, edit your note, summarise information, and generate content based on available patient information and documentation.
The Note is the initial focal-point of the patient session. It is also the first summary that will be generated by default after your ambient recording.
The note contains 11 sections that will be populated, where relevant to the conversation.
You can make edits to these sections through free text or dictation. Or, you can apply other AI instructions stored in your library such as prompts or section-specific templates.
When you have created your own templates, they will appear on the left side of the screen. Click here to find out more about templates.
The Dragon Copilot toolbar provides access to commonly used tools and settings.
Depending on your environment and permissions, you might see the below icons:
Tip: The notifications and memos only show up on the homepage if you access Dragon Copilot through the web or desktop app with a medium or large screen.

Select the microphone button to start the ambient recording and use the same button to stop the recording.
Tips:

When Dragon Copilot finishes processing your recording, an AI summary will auto-populate relevant the note sections in blue.
Templates that have been selected to run by ‘Default’ will produce additional documents that sit below the note.
Review the full conversation in the Transcript and make edits as necessary via additional ambient recording, voice command or free text.

Tips:
To transfer any of your Dragon Summaries back into your local environment, select the Copy symbol, then manually paste.

Alternatively, Transfer your note or documents into a compatible local application through Transfer at the cursor.

Discover ways to personalise Dragon Copilot to fit your documentation preferences and workflow. Explore templates, prompts, reusable text, and configuration options that help you work more efficiently and consistently.
Templates are structured, generative AI instructions that help you create any document type in your own style; considering both your preferred content and format.

To use out-the-box templates, go to Templates; Default Templates; select and Save.
To create a new template, go to Templates and Select +New Item

When you’re finished, name your template and Save as Document ‘Type.’
To auto-run document templates after all future ambient recordings, return to Default Templates. You will now see your saved template in the list of defaults.
